The Moyle Lab
University of Kansas

Research Projects
The lab works on a variety of projects ranging from phylogenetics to phylogeography and speciation. Below are brief descriptions of some ongoing projects, research themes, and geographic foci.

Island Evolution
Islands provide excellent natural systems to study aspects of evolutionary biology. Much of our island work has focused on the large archipelagos of the Philippines and Solomon Islands.
Phylogeography and Speciation
Most of our projects focus on groups often in the gray zone between populations and species. We are interested in the processes that influence diversification and generate diversity patterns across the landscape
